Inspired by its rustic charm and community-driven spirit, Whetstone Creative and Fat Bird Creative worked together to craft a bold, versatile brand identity that combines warmth, authenticity, and a touch of modern sophistication. The Problem
Outpost was a new food truck hub in need of a strong identity.
They had no established brand presence and needed something that captured their unique vibe while standing out in a crowded food scene.
Beyond just a logo, they required a complete visual language (icons, patterns, signage, merchandise, and digital assets) that tied everything together.
They also needed a website to showcase vendors, events, and menus in a way that was engaging and easy to navigate.
The Solution
We delivered a Phoenix: Advanced Branding Solution and Website Design, which included:
A logo suite featuring custom illustrations and typography that expressed the Outpost’s adventurous, rustic theme.
Custom icons and branded patterns that added personality and cohesion across print, signage, and merchandise.
A website design that reflected the identity, brought the brand to life online, and created a seamless experience for visitors.
Consistent use of colour, imagery, and messaging across both digital and physical touchpoints (flags, apparel, social templates, ads, etc.).
The Outpost Brand Identity
Outpost's logo suite is all about embracing their adventurous spirit. Early in the design process, we discussed Outpost’s vision to expand food truck hubs across the United States. With this in mind, we incorporated regional logos, starting with their first location in Sutherlin.
The branding features a warm, earthy palette inspired by hearthstone hues. Shades like burnt orange, okra white, and neutral black evoke rustic charm, authenticity, and a down-to-earth vibe.
Outpost embodies the Explorer archetype (curiosity, adventure, and a pioneering spirit) at its core. We created the motto “Chart Your Course” to inspire freedom, discovery, and taking the road less travelled, perfectly aligning with the brand’s mission to create memorable, community-driven experiences.
